A sales funnel is a marketing term that illustrates the journey of discovery, through to purchase, a potential customer will go. They’re extremely effective. Here’s an example:
Awareness: usually consists of an invitational email, asking the lead to start the journey (in this case, an email chain).
Interest: For this example, the customer opens the email because of the interesting title and wants to know more about a product or service. The customer then accepts and is part of the email campaign.
Decision: The email campaign keeps the customer engaged. Then, deciding to open a link, visit a product’s page and makes the decision to purchase.
Action: The customer purchases the product/service.
